Safe Children's Jewelry

Abela Designs jewelry has been designing children's jewelry for over ten years and product safety has always been a top priority.  We have met and exceeded safety standards in producing quality control programs and testing through third party and independent testing laboratories.  As most of you know recent laws have passed that govern the way that manufacturers produce jewelry, these standards are the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and the EuropeanUnion's EN71 PART 3 (HEAVY METALS).  www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/cpsia.html

Our jewelry designs are created with beautiful genuine freshwater pearls, semi precious gemstones, sterling silver and gold.

Abela Designs omits Swarovski crystals and other components containing lead from designs being sold to children.  These types of crystals have no restrictions for anyone over the age of 12 years.

Toddler Jewelry - It is fun to dress up your little one in an abundance of beautiful jewelry.  Her first birthday, baptism or that sweet little flower girl.  Please remember small children and babies love to put everything in their mouths.

  1. Small jewelry components can break apart and become a choking hazard.  Please supervise your child.
  2. Do not leave a small child alone while wearing jewelry.
  3. Remove bracelets, necklace and earrings if child begins to play with or tug at jewelry.
  4. Start off by wearing jewelry for short time periods.

As children get older they realize the value and preciousness of the gift they have been given.

Be safe, be aware and remember that gifting jewelry is a timeless tradition to cherish and celebrate the ones you love.
